Legislator Ford, a Long Beach resident for over 25 years, has been representing the communities of the 4th Legislative District since 2003 and, working together along with her constituents, has maintained continuous success in keeping our neighborhoods safe, strong and family oriented.

LEGISLATOR DENISE FORD MAKES CONSTITUENCY SERVICE A PRIORITY
~ Voted against the 2.5 % Home Energy Tax
~ Voted against property tax increases totaling 42.3% over the past 8 years
~ Supported real property tax exemptions for people 65 and older with limed income, increases in income levels
~ Called upon New York State to release $11 million from the EPA which was owed to Nassau County
~ Called upon New York State to release funds for the TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) water quality study in the Western Bays
~ Secured $70 million in capital funding to improve and upgrade the county’s two neglected sewage treatment plants
~ Helped bring the first “Farmers Market to the City of Long Beach”, goods that are grown or made on Long Island
~ Supported veterans clinic at NUMC
~ Supported residency restrictions for registered sex offenders
~ Supported legislation restricting the use of ATVs, motorized scooters and other off- road vehicles on county roads and property
~ Promotes annual low cost breast cancer screenings
~ Supported legislation prohibiting littering, dumping and encroachment on county property
~ Promoted community revitalization projects in Oceanside, Island Park, Point Lookout, & Long Beach
~ Supported road rehabilitation projects throughout the district
~ Conducted community forums on Medicare Part D, tax exemptions, public safety, emergency preparedness and other community concerns

Two Bicycle Helmet giveaways; Close to 300 bike safety helmets secured grant from NY State.
Additional 25 helmets donated from Legislator Fords own funds

at Long Beach Road & East Park Avenue, and East End parking malls at Neptune Blvd across from Associated
